A richly patterned railing built from two different hammered bar designs. The solid oak handrail was made by the Jezeršek joinery in Hotavlje. The spiral stairs and round gallery made this a very demanding build, and every bar is forged from a single piece of steel. Each piece is made by hand in our Blejska Dobrava workshop; installation can be arranged.

How much does a forged stair railing cost per meter?

The price depends on the surface protection. Exterior stair railings need better protection against the weather than interior ones: every part is sandblasted, hot-dip galvanized, every zinc spike and run is filed off by hand so the zinc is nowhere wounded down to the iron, then the zinc is chemically aged for paint adhesion and the railing electrostatically powder coated in any RAL color. An exterior stair railing starts at 400 EUR per running meter. Interior railings skip the galvanizing chain, so they start at 340 EUR. Prices are without installation and VAT.

What warranty do you give on the coating and finish?

10 years on the paint, 30 years against rust. The warranty does not cover mechanical damage.

Do you install the fence yourselves, or do I need a local contractor?

A matter of agreement. We install 95 percent of what we make. It depends on the size of the project and the location.
